I've never done my review for any of my fave shows before. I'm going to this time though. LOST season 3 has officially begun and i've actually seen it. So before i go searching for icons, here are my thoughts:
Ok, so it was a Jackback, usually i'm not a fan of them. But this one actually wasn't bad. Jack cried, it made me laugh. That sounds horrible but i really am not a fan of Jack. Maybe once Kate choose Sawyer that'll change. Anyway, i'm off track already. Back to the episode.
Opening scene, with Juliet baking muffins in a sweet little house and a sweet little community and book club and everything. How nice, she had a really nice home once. But hold on a minute, what's disturbing the book club? An earthquake? No, a plane crash. THE plane crash, because sweet little community? Location: Craphole Island. Wasn't expecting that AT ALL. I mean these people have cute little houses with plumbing, and ovens and comfy beds while people like Sawyer are sleeping on sand or aeroplane seats with blue freakin' tarp for shelter. These people have HOUSES. That's just not fair, they should share.
They don't though, no Sawyer gets transferred to a CAGE. How nice of the Others. And they just get nicer because if he wants food he has to press a button that if he presses it three times it sends him flying to the other side of the cage. The Others are cruel people. Hurt Sawyer is kinda hot though.
Kate meanwhile wakes up in some sort of locker room and Zeke (or Tom, or Mr. Friendly, call him what you want) tells her to take a shower. And don't worry about him looking cos she's not his type. Yeah you all know what that means, and i gotta say that at first i didn't see that coming. Now i think he has a thing for Sawyer since that's who he loves to torment. It's like playground mentality. Little boy pulls little girl's hair because he loves her. Zeke shoots sawyer because Sawyer is hot. Hey, it's a possibility!
Kate has her shower and goes for her clothes and they're gone. That wasn't nice, cruel trick zeke! Anyway, they did leave a little sign saying 'Wear This'. Wear what? Oh a pretty little sundress. Kate was not amused was she? No she was not.
You may notice i'm not saying this in exact order it happened, i left Jack's first scene until last, but oh well. Anyway, Jack wakes up in a creepy green room. He looks like hell. But he's Jack, he never looks good. Sawyer however, even looked good passed out on the floor of a cage. But i digress, anyway, Jack starts yelling for somebody. At one point he yells to Kate. Yeah, she's not there Jack!
Second best part of the show happens in this scene. Jack's stomping forward and *bang* he walks into a huge glass window that takes up half the room. That hadto hurt. And it made Jack look like an idiot, that was just an added bonus.
Still on Jack, he's going kind of crazy. Climbing on a table and pulling at a huge chain hanging from the ceiling. What's he trying to do exactly? Make the building fall down? Or just annoy the others? Probably a bit of both. At this point in walk the woman who was making muffins at the beginning of the episode, she introduces herself as Juliet. What a lovely name, she seems to timid at first though.
Cut to jackback- He's meeting Sarah there. She's divoricng him (clever woman) but he's fired his lawyer. Cue Jack trying to find out who she has the sense to leave him for. She won't tell him because what difference does it make? He tells her she can have the cars and house and whatever if she tells him. Nope, Jack, bribery doesn't always work. She walks away from him. I really like Sarah.
Out of the jackback, Juliet is trying to get Jack to come down off the table he in return demands to know where his 'friends' are. When did he start thinking Sawyer was a friend? Because Sawyer told him about his dad, or that he had sex with Ana Lucia? Jack still doesn't like him and we all know it's because Kate likes the hot southerner. Hell, she had to be suffering from exhaustian and hallucinations before she'd kiss Jack. And Jack just wants in Kate's pants. Still, he calls them friends, so whatever. It really doesn't matter, she won't tell him anyway.
Back to Kate, Kate has her shower and goes for her clothes and they're gone. That wasn't nice, cruel trick zeke! Anyway, they did leave a little sign saying 'Wear This'. Wear what? Oh a pretty little sundress. Kate was not amused was she? No she was not.
Cut to a very lovely scene, a sandy becah and gorgeous ocean with a gazebo. So pretty. Oh wait, there's a weird little man inside. Yep, it's Benry. And here comes zeke with Kate. Oh a tea party, how quaint. Benry pulls out Kate's chair, on the table sit a lovely present. Handcuffs. Mind out of the gutter people! Kate however does have to wear there. And if she doesn't? She doesn't get any coffee! tut tut. Henry is mean!
We can cut the sarcasm now because Kate then askes 'Where are Sawyer and Jack?'. Why did she ask for Sawyer first? That's Henry's question. Not mine though because i know the answer hehe. Kate just says Henry doesn't know her and demands her clothes. Apparently they made a pretty bonfire. The dress was to make her feel like a lady. Fancy breakfast to make her feel good because the next 2 weeks are gonna be tough. Well isn't that just great.
For us? Yes. For the Losties? Not really.
Another jackback- Jack has seriously lost it. He's calling everybody on his wife's phone bill. Still determined to find out who she had the sense to leave him for. His dad comes in, tells him to let it go. Yeah right, it's Jack he doesn't know how. So he dials the next number and a phone rings in his office. Looks at Christian. Ooh, bad dad! Why is Sarah phoning him?
Back in the creepy green room, Jack's trying to drink drops of water coming from the ceiling. Eww, and Jack thought so too. Then there's a crackling. There's an intercom and we hear the words 'Let it go, jack', weird, Jack's dad just said that to him in the jackback. Freaky, right? Juliet enters agai carrying a grilled cheese sndwich and a bottle of water. She tells Jack it's for him but he has to sit against the wall and not move until she has brought it in and left it and got back out again. Funnily enough Jack refuses. There's also some chat about the intercom which according to Juliet hasn't worked in years.
Juliet tries to talk to Jack, asking what he does for a living and so on. He claims he's a repo man. He gets sarcastic, or at least his version of it and asks Juliet if she makes sandwiches. She admits she didn't make it, just added the toothpicks. They way she said it was quite quirky. She's growing on me. There's some more chit chat, he tells her they were flying from Sydney when they crashed, why he was in Sydney and so on. She tells him that he can trust her. I don't think he believed her.
YAY, a Sawyer scene is next. I forgot to mention there's a young guy in the cage next to Sawyer. He starts asking all sort of questions and whatnot. Before long he's broken out of his cage and breaks Sawyer out of his cage and tells him to run in one direction while the guy goes another. Sawyer's a diversion isn't he? Crap! Anyway, in jungle Sawyer sees Julie walking towards him before he can do anything she shoots him with one of those darts they all got shot with in the finale ep. Bitch! I was just starting to like her when she did that. So obviously Sawyer ends up back in his cage.
Zeke and a couple of other OTHERS bring the young guy to Sawyer and make him apologise to Sawyer for involving him in his escaps. Granted the young guys had a few punches since he was caught, but he apologised. Zeke takes the young guy away.
Back to Jack in his creepy green room: Juliet's trying to get Jack to eat and drink because whatever drugs they gave the three Losties cause dehydration and if they don't do anything about it they'll start hallucinating. But Jack's already crazy anyway so i doubt it would make a difference. Jack gives in.
There's another jackback here, kind of boring. We just see Jack treating a patient and looking out the door and seeing his dad on his phone, smiling and Jack of course assumes it's Sarah. Jack is not happy. Anyway he follows his dad and he ends up at a hotel. This looks suspicious. So, Jack follows him to a room and storms in. There are lots of people there but none of them are Sarah. Oh that's because it's an AA meeting. Looks like Daddy Shepard has been sober or 50 days. Jack doesn't care. He starts yelling about what must have made him want to get sober, apparently Jack's wife is the reason. Jack isn't listening to sense but that's because he's an idiot. Anyway, he jumps on his dad, i'm guessing a fight ensues.
Back in the creeps green room, he moves back against the wall and Juliet opens the door, before she can get in Jack runs at her and grabs her.
Ok, Jack, i know she's an OTHER but she's a woman.
He drags her out into the hall, there's a door there that he orders her to open. A voice behind them says that's a bad idea. The voice is Henry. Apparently if they open the door they'll all die. But Jack's indestructable so that doesn't matter he throws Juliet away from him and opens the door himself. Water floods inside. Juliet tells him to hit the button on the wall. He does, it must drain the water or something. To be honest i didn't quite catch what the button did. Next, she hits him and he's passed out under the water. I was willing her to just leave him there. She didn't, she pulled him out of the water. I swear every time i start to like her she does something to annoy me.
And yay, Sawyer's up next. He's on the floor of the cage, reaching thropugh the bars at a big rock. He manages to get hold of it and pulls it inside. He sits it on a leaver. Then he presses the big button that shocked him earlier and throws his boot at a second lever. Music breaks out. Sawyer's won a prize! He waves his arms to the music, very pleased with himself. Looks like he'll get to eat today afterall. He goes to the chute and waits, his dinner falls from it. He's not so happy anymore, he got a fish shaped thing that says Dharma on it. Sawyer isn't happy! He's still hot though.
He takes a bite of his treat, and sees some running water, he sticks his mouth under the stream and gets a drink. When he looks up he's m,et with Zeke bringing Kate toward shim, she's being relocated to the cage the young guy vacated earlier. Once she's locked up and her handcuffs are removed, Zeke decides to have a chat with Sawyer. Congratulating him on getting a 'Fish Biscuit'. Apparently it only took the bears two hours. Zeke laughs and leaves.
We then hjave the best scene of the episode with Kate and Sawyer, i can't be at all sarcastic about it because i loved every second and watched it twice. Sawyer asks Kate if she's ok, she says she is. He compliments her on her dress and she tells him they made her wear it. After asking her if she's hungry, Sawyer throws her his fish biscuit. Seriously that was so sweet, i mean they guy was tshocked by a huge buttion and thrown across his cage trying to get that thing and he didn't think twice about giving it to Kate. Sawyer is so not a bad guy at all, he's a sweetheart and totally in love. Anyway he watches Kate eating withe sweetest most tender look on his face. The man is undoubtedly in love.
Sadly it's then back to Jack in the creepy green room (you'll notice most of my sarcasm is in relation to Jack), he wakes up and Juliet is on the other side of the glass, a file in front of her. Jack announces that the place is an aquarium. They're underwater. We can now add genius to his list of attributes. He asks if the place was for sharks, Juliet replies 'Dolphin's too.'
Apparently this hatch was the hydra and the Others used to be part of the dharma initiative. But that doesn't matter because that's who they were and it's who they are now that matters. So they weren't always a bunch of psycho, torturous, murderers. And they didn't always have a friendly craphole island neighbourhood. That's reassuring.
She goes on to tell Jack they know who he is. What university he attended and that he finished med school a year early. Creepier still, they have his dad's autopsy report. She doesn't say how but they have it. Now that's just creepy. They also know all about Sarah, which causes, you guessed it
another jackback, Jack's in a cell. Must've got arrested for attacking his dad. The cell is unlocked and he's free to go because someone paid his bail. He walks out, it's sarah. She isn't sticking around to chat, she called him a taci and now she's leaving. Jack of course, follows her. She's walking towards a car that some guy is standing beside, Jack stops her demanding to know if that's the guy or not. She says it doesn't matter. She also says some other equally hurtful things that made me laugh but i won't include it all. Apparently Jack's dad called her to bail him out, the guy was drunk as a skunk. As Sarah says at least now he has something to fix. She walks away.
Back in the green room, Jack just wants to know if Sarah is happy. Sh is, 'she's very happy.' Juliet watches as Jack breaks down and cries. She still wants to feed and water him. Can she trust him not to try and kill her this time? Yes he says. Okay then.
When she leaves the room, Henry is there and congratulates her on a job well done. Juliet replies 'Thank you, Ben'.
Therefore, Henry will now be referred to as Benry.
