Ok, just a quick post because it's after 11. I'm the only person awake in my house, my mum was up at 5 for work and my brother went to a friend's house. I was going to go round to my brother's since there's some people in, but i'd have to walk and the weather is horrendous. So i decided to stay home since i have some peach schnapps and a big bottle of lemonade in the house anyway. I'll just have a couple glasses and watch Still Game.

Anyway, my 2006. It has been a rather uneventful yet good year. The biggest thing being that i turned 21. I got great presents but more importantly had a great night out and a really good time. I won't forget it in a hurry, what with the limousine, the champage, really dodgy punch made by my sister in law and karaoke.

2006 is also the year that i finally did something i've wanted to do for years. I visited Prague and as much as i didn't get on so well with my dad, it's such an amazingly beautiful city and it's a trip i don't think i'll ever forget. Hopefully i'll go again some day.

I started my FINAL year as an undergrad at university, i've finalised my dissertation subject and i even started writing it. More important, in mid 2006, i did well in my exams and it has put me on course for a beter degree than i ever contemplated achieving. As long as this year goes alright, i might actually do well.

There's been ups and downs, my brother came home and for a few months my nephew lived down here. I loved having him here, as much trouble as he got into, i know why he was getting into trouble. It hurt when he went back to live with his mum but it was great having him here for a while.

I've been more confident and social this year. I've made more friends at uni. Ok so as you know i think one of my friendships ended this year too, but that has been a good thing. It was time to let go of a friendship that was slowly dying because i'm a different person now. And as Andrew always says, not all friendships aresupposed to last forever. People come in and out of our lives all the time, each person leaving their mark but sometimes you move on.

That's what i want 2007 to be for me, a time of moving on. Actually trying to get a life of my own. Not relying on my more outgoing and confident friend, and just remaining friends with people so that i can say i have friends. I don't want to stand in the shadows anymore, but rather take centre- stage as it were. Y'know, get out there and get my own life. Do my own thing and find my own way, i think that's important.

So yeah, overall its been a good year, i'm not gonna go into every detail of the year, i'd bore you to death. But next year, i hope it's gonna be good. I'll be graduating, that's what it's my main focus is on for now. From there? Who knows. Maybe i'll finally find time to finish that series of short stories, and maybe i might find someone to publish them. It's a New Year right? But it's not here yet, and i can't tell the future. I guess you guys, just like me, will have to wait and see.
